Long before the modern cities and soaring skyscrapers of the UAE, the Lord began writing a powerful story through two hearts fully surrendered to Him. In 1994, Pastor Alias—affectionately known as Brother Alias—and his wife Annie began walking the shores of Ras Al Khaimah, sharing the love of Jesus with fishermen and families, long before church buildings or big crowds were ever in the picture.
Their journey wasn’t limited to one place. As God moved them through nearly every emirate—and even across the Arabian ocean to Zanzibar, Tanzania in 2000—their mission never changed, it grew even stronger: love people, build relationships, and point every heart to Jesus. Even while working a corporate job, Brother Alias lived like a missionary, seizing every opportunity to bring hope wherever God placed him.
Then came 2001. What started as a simple prayer gathering in a house basement became something so much bigger. That small beginning was the birth of the Apostolic Church in the United Arab Emirates—a community rooted in love, mission, and the power of God’s presence.
Today, what began in one room has expanded across all seven emirates. With over 30 services in multiple languages and a home base at the Sharjah Worship Centre, this church isn’t just growing—it’s alive with purpose. People from all walks of life are finding faith, family, and freedom in Jesus.
